The Ford Focus MK4 is available with an analogue speedometer/instrument panel (IPC) and with a digital IPC. Here you can see a comparison of the two IPCs, analog on the left, digital on the right.

In the following two Videos you can see a walk through the analog Cluster and the new digital cluster
Analog Cluster / Speedometer / IPC
Digital Cluster / Speedometer / IPC
Information how to swap the IPC
The digital speedometer can be retrofitted relatively easily.
As always, you can find out what you need and how to do it step by step in the video.
Below some IPCs on ebay:

The following speedometer models are known to me.
As always, the last letter indicates (as far as I know) the firmware version.
The main difference (as far as I know) is that NX7T-10849-SC* supports ST boot animation out of the box. NX7T-10849-SX* has the standard focus boot animation.
The ST-Line variant of the pFL (pre-facelift, so our MK4) also features the standard “Focus” animation. The ST boot animation was only introduced with the FL (facelift MK4.5) Ford Focus MK4.5.
- NX7T-10849-SCB
- NX7T-10849-SCC
- NX7T-10849-SCD
- NX7T-10849-SCE
- NX7T-10849-SCF
- NX7T-10849-SXA
- NX7T-10849-SXB
- NX7T-10849-SXC
- NX7T-10849-SXD
- NX7T-10849-SXE
- NX7T-10849-SXF
The IPC of the Ford Focus FL (MK4.5) from approximately 2024 onwards has a new design (and new hardware) for the speedometer. Due to the new hardware, it is not possible to flash the new software onto the “old” digital IPCs mentioned above.
The new digital IPC also have a different numbering system, namely
- RX7T-10849-SCF
When purchasing a digital IPC, it’s important that you buy a speedometer with fewer kilometers than your original speedometer. The odometer reading via FORScan can only be adjusted upwards, not downwards.
